Maintaining Your Streak: Deepen

Hello in 2025!

It’s been a month since work started fully this year, how was this month for you? Was it a breeze or overwhelming? Were you able to get on top of your tasks? Are you closer to your Q1 goals?

We are hoping you have had a good productivity streak so far, hopefully with the help of the productivity hacks in our last newsletter. For this month, we are giving you areas through which you can deepen your focus for the year. If the ride into 2025 has been a little bumpy for you, don’t worry, keep reading this will help you.

In our last strategy session, we broke off into teams and came together to highlight 5 channels through which we can deepen our focus this year, they were our Reach, Approach, Expertise, Credibility and Reputation. Taking each one, we will explain what they mean and how you can incorporate each of these channels in your work life.

Your Reach: In this digital age, there is someone doing what you do and probably even better than you, it's nothing to be sad about. However, with continuous learning, innovation and collaboration, you can become a top percent performer in your role, intensifying your reach to create value and impact.

Your Approach: What setback did you face?? How can you improve and do it faster, better, more efficiently? You really do not want to be caught using the same methods from 2024 that made it daunting to look at the goals you set earlier in the year. Sit back and reevaluate to help you put things in perspective.

Your Expertise: What can someone do better than you?? What trait would you like to take from them? It does not have to be someone you know in person, the lessons do not also have to be from one person. It could be an online mentor you respect and would like to take learnings from. You can always be better.

Your Credibility: Are you a credible team member? Can you be trusted to deliver quality work consistently and transparently? We cannot always be a 100% when it comes to our work, especially with data and numbers, but the lesson here is the importance of maintaining integrity.

Reputation: In August 2024 we wrote a newsletter on personal branding and its importance in the workplace. You do not have to be a thought leader online to have a good reputation (This wouldn’t hurt as well) But in your team, what are you known for? Are you the person that is known to always deliver the best work even if it always comes last minute or are you known for delivering poor jobs and last minute as well? Your reputation in the workplace matters a lot and it can speak for you when you are not there to speak for yourself.

In our strategy session, we set goals on how we can do better for each of these points and it will be great for you to do the same. We hope you enjoyed this edition! See you next month.
