“Maintaining belief through change”

“Maintaining belief through change”

My next talk in Portsmouth on the 21st September 2016

I am a start-up business are you? Have you made the leap from taking an idea and belief into a reality? If yes then maybe my talk is going to help you reach the reality that sits within your mind…

We have all heard this before…

“8 out of 10 entrepreneurs who start businesses fail within the first 18 months”

Well I am going to give you some information that will help you be one of the two that succeeds.

I created a successful career within the local authority and within 6 years I went from a support worker to a service manager that oversee a staff team of 40 plus. I forged this career during a time of austerity that delivered unprecedented cuts to public services, not only was I able to develop my own career but I was also able to bring other team members through organisational change and present them with career development opportunities.

So how was I able to maintain the belief in myself and get others to connect with their beliefs and maintain these during such unsettled times?

Well I am using a model that has worked for me before…

What may surprise you is that I was also a child who went into the care system, prison system and became addicted to drink and drugs, my destiny was to overdose or die in Prison, At the age of 35 I made a decision to change.

My story will tell you how I broke down an inbuilt negative belief system and then created and maintained a new positive belief system when the odds were saying

“Reoffending is higher among criminals who are locked up than do community sentences – with 74% of ex-inmates at one prison convicted again within a year” Alan Travis home affairs editor Thursday 4 November 2010

I beat the statistics before I will beat them again, come and hear how…
