Maintaining Assessment Integrity In The Age Of ChatGPT 1.3.23 - Event Summary and Replay

The LinkedIn event, 'Maintaining Assessment Integrity in the Age of ChatGPT' held on 1.3.23, sparked a captivating discussion on teaching, learning, and assessment in the 21st century. The event shed light on the necessary steps that schools must take to adopt ChatGPT and other AI.

Unfortunately, Dr. Nick Jackson (Scotch College, Adelaide), who was scheduled to present practical assessment ideas, could not attend due to personal reasons. Sincere thanks goes to Matt Bentley (Redlands, Sydney) and Algela Phillips (Westminster College, Adelaide) who stepped in at the last minute to give valuable contributions.

For those who have not yet enrolled, Dr. Nick Jackson has a free course for teachers called AI, Chatbots & ChatGPT for Teachers that I highly recommend.

Paul Browning, from St. Paul's School, Brisbane, shared an inspirational project called Realms Of Thinking, which has taken 12 years to develop. Every school should be aware of this exemplary initiative.

Your turn ...

I would love to hear about your key takeaways from the event and any questions you may have. Have you created an assessment task that is "ChatGPT-proof"? If so, what did the task entail?

Fun Fact

I utilized ChatGPT to refine and improve this very article.

Thanks, Richard.
