Mainstream Episode 2

Hi Friends –

June 2nd marked the second anniversary of me leaving my steady job to start Mainstream.

In 2006, during film school I realized in order to send a powerful, effective message the emphasis should always be on the audience. And I wondered what it would look like to start a company that focused on just that. So Mainstream, along with its name, became an idea.

Then I got a great job in television and for years I was right where I needed to be. But it wasn't Mainstream. So.. terrified of what that business might look like I traveled in the direction of my fear.

The truth is not only was my job a steady paycheck, it was awesome! People thought I was insane to quit, myself a lot of the times. But until then it was always something I was going to do, and on June 2nd of 2014, it was something I did. It's still the scariest thing I do and continue to do, but I am so proud of what has been accomplished.

We’ve created amazing partnerships and cultivated team members who believe in what this company can be. We have also told some some amazing stories along the way, and two years later here we are.
