Mainnet upgrade, cheqd pitch, Twitter Spaces and more...

Hey, hey, cheqmates. That’s right, the weekly wrap-up has come around again… already? ?? Let’s take a glance back at the week.

We’ve successfully upgraded the cheqd network to the latest version, v1.x changelog available here

This upgrade brings new features to the network, plus fundamental changes to our code base in line with the Cosmos SDK and IBC versions.

The release can be broken down into the following;

1. Identity transaction pricing and burn

2. Enhancements to DIDs and DID-Linked Resource functionality

3. Changes to protobuf definitions required for enhancements to DID and DID-Linked Resource functionality

4. CosmosSDK version bumps

5. Miscellaneous fixes

We are running a competition until 10th Feb 2023. The challenge this time is, how do you pitch cheqd to others? More information on the competition can be found here

Our team will forward all submissions (even if just a screenshot) to the

#??-pitch channel on Discord and pick their two favourite pitches.

Winner will receive 5,000 $CHEQ and the runner up 2,000 $CHEQ.

This competition will run for two weeks starting Friday 27th January and will end on Friday 10th February at 11am (that’s the time we’ll stop accepting entries to the competition). ??
