The “Pine Tree State “recognizes the white pine tree, as an officially designated state symbol. Maine possesses over 17 million acres of forests, much of its Eastern White Pine. Also, Maine, the northeastern most U.S. state, is known for its rocky coastline, maritime history and nature areas like the granite and spruce islands of Acadia National Park. One of the most surprising facts about Maine is the amount of coastline in the state. Maine has 3,478 miles of coastline - more than California (3,427), and over 5,000 miles of coast if you include all of the islands as well. Only Florida and Louisiana (mostly bayou) have more miles of coastline. Furthermore (Maine Facts), “Maine has 3,166 off-shore islands. Only about 1,200 Maine coast islands have an acre or more, 600 comprise 95% of the island acreage”. 

Where did we ship?

In December 2018, South Portland, Dixmont and Bristol were the three cities in Maine we shipped Southern Pine. Each of the orders we unique, one was a massive number of stair treads, one Heart Pine and the other our #2 grade. One was a repeat customer who moved and wanted to get our floors for their new home.
