MAIN FUNDAMENTAL BASIC STRUCTURAL TYPES OF PRODUCTION PROCESSES

SHARING THE MAIN FUNDAMENTAL BASIC STRUCTURAL TYPES OF PRODUCTION PROCESSES WHICH HAD BEEN LEARNT FROM THE PROCESS OF EXPERTISE IN MANUFACTURING GROUNDS.

What is the real well defined about the several of types of production processes?

Define a Production Process: It is having many numbers of serial sequences with operations bound can able to generate a product or service & also the other way of defining is an important consideration is the type of product or service is being produced because different products may require different processes.

The structural fundamental basic common types of production processes involved in manufacturing/production sector are as follows:

1.  JOB PRODUCTION

2.  BATCH PRODUCTION

3.  MASS PRODUCTION

4.  CRAFT PRODUCTION

5.  SERVICE PRODUCTION

1.  JOB PRODUCTION: It defines as “making one particular article/product & typically it applies to unique articles/products etc.” that have a requirement of low demand. For example, a shoe/bags/accessories/garment manufacturer who produces a particular item which had been ordered by a customer.

2.  BATCH PRODUCTION: It defines as “manufacturing/producing a number of articles together as a batch” (also batches will be made as per the materials lot received like 1st, 2nd & 3rd etc. & if the lots were mixed it creates quality issues like mismatch with the lot variations). For example in shoes – 1,000 pairs which moves through various step sequences which brings finally together as one finished product as per customer specific requirement.

3.  MASS PRODUCTION: It defines as continuous production of articles by involving itself passing through several work stations that all can be used at the same time. For example, a shoe factory conveyor production line which has 60 work stations that continuously has sets pair of shoes at each & every station at the different stages of production. By starting with one pair of shoes is the beginning of production & on the other side, another part is in finishing; this is actual scenario of the greater scale type of production. For example a conveyor line production producing a pair of shoes in 120 seconds which can results as an output of 240 pair of shoes in normal working 8 hours of a day.

4.  CRAFT PRODUCTION: It defines as “a product had been made without using automation,” an example is that a tailor made suit for a particular person as per the size of measurement taken.

5.  SERVICE PRODUCTION: It defines as “delivery of service is often considered or referred as production”. For example the operational process like banking sectors with automation having customer care; technical supporting services and security monitoring.

CONCLUSION: These are all the main structural basic fundamental variants of production process activities which defines the various aspects of its own natural in-bound definition for making or creating a product or service as per customer specific requirement.
