Maharashtra Seeks Bids for 1,000 MW Pumped Hydro Storage Capacity; Himachal Pradesh Sets Solar PV Tariffs for FY 2024-25 And More...

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) Seeking Pumped Storage Developers to supply long-term Integrated System of Transmission and Storage (ISTS/InSTS) connected Energy Storage Systems, with a capacity of 1,000 MW/8,000 MWh (for 8 hours discharge, with a maximum of 5 hours continuous discharge per day), sourced from Pumped Hydro Storage Plants situated anywhere in India through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding, spanning a 40-year duration.


The Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission recently finalized the generic levelized tariffs for Solar PV projects for the fiscal year 2024-25. The Commission undertook a thorough process involving stakeholder consultations, objections, and public hearings to arrive at these determinations.


Brookfield , a global leader in alternative asset management, announced on Thursday the successful commissioning of the first phase of a significant solar energy project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. This marks a significant milestone in the development of what is poised to be India’s largest renewable energy park with inter-state transmission system connectivity. The first phase of the Bikaner project introduces 268 megawatts peak (MWp) of solar power capacity, with plans to expand the park to a total capacity of 550 MWp upon the completion of its second phase.

(GUVNL) for a significant project. The company is set to design, supply, test, install, commission, operate, and maintain a 180 MW / 360 MWh Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Gujarat. This initiative is a segment of GUVNL’s ambitious plan to establish a 250 MW / 500 MWh BESS to enhance the state’s energy storage capabilities and ensure the availability of renewable energy during peak and off-peak times.
