The wonders of our universe are on continuous display and for those who observe, the sense of awe rarely abates. The rate of discovery is accelerating and on occasion those discoveries take the breath of even the most seasoned observers. So it is with the discovery of a star ejected at an astounding 3.7 million miles (6 million kilometers) per hour from the "heart of darkness" - the black hole at the center of our galaxy, the Milky Way.
