The Magnetic Factor - How I went from sucking to selling out all my books at the same event!

What turns on your MAGNETIC energy so you can attract the life, clients, and business you deserve?

Thirteen years ago, I found myself about to step on the stage as a keynote for WCR, Women’s Council of Realtors. I had set up my table in the back of the room displaying the book I had recently published, and I was excited to bring my passion and purpose to the audience. As I was speaking, I started to notice a peculiar look on the faces of some of the audience members. At first, I brushed it off, but the deeper I got into the topic and my enthusiasm elevated, I saw even more of this. Now thinking to myself, “I’m sucking!” and the overwhelming urge to hurry up and get off the stage came over me. All I could think was, I’ll have to speak to the event organizer and apologize afterward.?

The end of my presentation couldn’t come soon enough. They applauded, but I thought it was out of nicety. I hurried to the back of the room, wanting to blend into the wall and disappear. But, to my surprise, as the event host made her closing remarks, the crazy-faced audience members started to head towards me! So much, ended up being a long line out the door, and I SOLD out all my books!?

How did that happen?

I came to discover I had given them my MAGNETIC energy, which comes from my Power Zone; as a result, they wanted more! I confirmed this through the feedback of how I made them feel. One even commented I don’t know what you’re selling, but I want your energy, and I’m buying!” And, he did, and he referred many to me over the years. So, now when I speak, I look for those crazy faces to make sure I am doing a great job!

?I had found my MAGNETISM.

As my story demonstrates, to be MAGNETIC, you have to know who you are and be willing to be authentic and stand out with all your brilliance even if no one else is doing it like YOU.?

The foundation of your Magnetic expression comes from your values.?Values have meaning in our life and steer us into tremendous success if we pay attention.?

When you can honor your values as you contribute to and interact with the world around you, you’re able to express who you are.?You will find this much more fulfilling for you, and it will allow you to tap into your most profound potential and your most potent energy source. Emotional energy, not mental energy, is the true motivator of the human spirit. Emotional energy has its source in what people believe and value.?

When there is alignment between your values and your actions, you’ll find you can tap into your deepest level of creativity, take more strengthening risks and increase your success. Values can be looked upon as standards or qualities considered?worthwhile and desirable. (that’s part of the?magnetic?effect)

An example of?not?living one’s values or beliefs would be advocating a healthy lifestyle while not exercising or making other healthy lifestyle choices for oneself. And if you SELL health care items, you are False Advertising.?

When your?decisions and actions go against?your fundamental values, it creates an internal conflict that affects your desire and willingness to take action. It also causes stress and low energy for you and others experiencing you.?Why is this so Important?

Branding the?magnetic factor?

Our Brand is our VOICE, made up of our values, and for you to turn on your magnetic force field, you must believe you are the “embodiment” of them.?

There is this myth that branding is collateral, and if we have a pretty website, cards, or video, then people will believe us and want to buy from us. However, while branding material is valuable, it is worthless if not backed by your belief in your value!

You must find your voice and share it in such a way that others want to hear more from you. Don’t just take it from me…

I love this quote; it expresses so well my point. When you think of the Nike product, it conjures up emotions, thoughts of using their product or maybe even their motivating videos, at the very least their tag line...Just Do It!?

Because they found and claimed their VOICE, there is an attraction factor for the best type of consumer for their products. And, it even deters others who are not a fit, and that is OK. That’s the magnetic factor at work.
