The Magic of Vocabulary

We often heard about the concept of Transformational Vocabulary and how its positively influence the way we feel, think and act.

Well Transformational vocabulary is a technology developed by Anthony Robbins to help individuals employ habitual vocabulary (the words that are consistently used) to amplify or lower the intensity of emotional states.

But the question is how these words influence our emotional experiences?

Words are used by us to express our feelings and emotions which results in shaping up our behavior. Each one of us has some habitual vocabulary that we use in our day to day life that further creates our experiences either positive or negative. People usually labelled their experiences by using negative or positive words but it is generally observed that people on an average used more negative words than the positive ones which disturbs their emotional state by increasing the intensity of their emotions.

According to this concept, you have to choose your words wisely and consciously by keeping in view the impact they have on us especially when defining negative emotions. Instead of using “I am feeling angry”, we can use the phrase “I am feeling unhappy “which reduces the intensity of that negative emotion. Because words have a biochemical effect on us and people started feeling exactly the same when they use certain words on consistent basis. Most of the people who have experienced breakthroughs in life, mastered the art of silencing their internal dialogue by focusing on positive self-talk. They made a conscious choice of using more positive words to stay motivated and focused on realizing their goals.

Anyone can transform the quality of their life by making small gradual changes over a period of time through use of powerful words but only practice and effort on continuous basis in both personal and professional life can make this possible.
