The Magic of the Universe Aligning

Sometimes the universe just aligns.? Last year we were preparing for our Give A Mile Toronto event.? An event to raise funds to give flights for people to fly and see their dying loved one a last time.? The morning of the event our flight recipient coordinator called me and said we have a flight applicant that needs to get to Brazil to see his mom.? It’s a huge number of miles, I don’t think we will be able to make this flight happen.?

Alberto’s family told him that his mum’s time was limited due to her end stage lymphoma, he was unsure how he would be able to get to her bedside to say his final goodbyes.?? As a single dad he was unable to find the funds to pay for a flight to Brazil. Alberto was worried that he would not see his mum alive again.?

I said to our flight coordinator give us a few hours as I am about to walk into a room where I believe they will make that flight happen.? One hour latter I called her to book the flight.?

Alberto shared with us that after arriving in Brazil he was able to be with his mum while she was still alive.

?“Beside her I prayed a lot for her, I asked for forgiveness for any mistakes I made, I blessed her, I asked the heavens to forgive that servant of God who loved him so much... I smoothed her legs, massaged her feet, kissed her and left... and then less than 10 minutes afterwards she left us forever... it is the hardest time of my life.....and that thanks to Give A Mile I can't forget this NEVER, NEVER AND NEVER...?? Thank you, thank you and thank you.? I will be forever grateful.? I honestly have no words to describe my feelings and thanks to Give A Mile for giving me my farewell to the being who brought me into the world, who gave me life, to the most important and sublime being in our lives, which is our MOTHERS”

What to expect:

• Cirillo’s Team will create a menu special for the event where everyone will be able to mingle, graze and enjoy the items prepared.
• Welcome Appetizer Stations made by Cirillo’s Academy.
• Cooking Station where small plates will be created and there will be demonstrations for the guests.
• Entrée Stations made by Cirillo’s Team.
