Magic Talk - Allan Halse from CultureSafe NZ on workplace bullying

New Zealand is 2nd worse in the developed world for workplace bullying and we are unique because we don't have what virtually every other 1st world country has - see below:
- Any low level external intervention available to bullied workers. There is no Government Department/Agency that will help you.
- Accountability or negative consequence for bullies and/or their employers who enable/condone that bullying. Health and Safety regulator Worksafe NZ have never prosecuted a single workplace bullying case.
- Workers compensation available if you suffer serious psychological harm in the workplace and are unable to work. If you can't work, you can't get a cent from ACC, and you are likely to lose your job, career, home, relationship and possibly your life.
Listen to me discussing that and more on Magic Talk.

3 年It's not just a problem in NZ. It's rooted. We haven't been the top contenders to the heavyweight title of Bullying Nation of the World by accident. The burning question is, who'll address the issues if the very organisations people are dependent on for redress are the culprits themselves. I address this through my maiden book to hit the shelves soon. It may help some people understand and make purposeful choices to nip the problem in the bud. Well said and keep up the crusade Allan Halse.
