The Magic Happens Starting As Children
Have you ever had a hero you idolized growing up, what did that sensation do for you every time you saw that hero? Let me guess, you shouted out and cheered for your hero as a child? I remember from my personal experience the first time I saw Christopher Reeve portray Superman. I had the total awe inspiring moment where goosebumps rose up all over my body as I jumped up and down my parents sofa with a towel in the back of my shirt, I leapt from sofa to sofa until my parents told me to calm down. Hilarious to say the least yet this feeling was so overwhelming, a child that dreamed of a world where superhero's truly existed.
Almost 30 years later I evaluate the process one takes, from being this hopeful boy in the supernatural to becoming a writer in overcoming "Reality." The same boy exists within me, the hopeful child we all were diminishes all the time in all of us. We grow up and pay taxes just as our parents did, yet I saw the empty look in my parents eyes as they worked hard to provide for us as children. There is a better way to live our lives, we just have to break out of the cycle that consumed our parents. The choice exists, but only if we're willing to believe once again and then execute on that dream.
