The Magic Gift of a Bracelet

As you know, if you’ve been following my recent postings, my autograph-signing stint at “Destination Star Trek” in Blackpool, England brought many touching experiences and new awareness.?

One deeply touching experience occurred when a lovely young woman drove up in her electric wheelchair dressed in her red “Star Trek” outfit. She was on the other side of the autograph table where I was working and explained that while she couldn’t do many things, she could make jewelry and said that because I had been on the Original Star Trek Series, which had touched her life deeply, she wanted me to have a lovely beaded bracelet she had made.

I was deeply touched and very teary, and had the photo above taken by a member of the conference staff. AND I wear her bracelet every day to remind me of how thoughtful and generous she was! And I like it!

How can you go out of your way to honor people who have touched your life? And, be sure to value and appreciate the times when others honor you!
