The magic of anticipation

Anticipation is a priceless emotion involving pleasure, excitement, and sometimes anxiety in considering some expected or longed-for positive event. In this particular case it relates to a 17th century – yet anonymous – painting I bought at auction in May 2015. More precisely it relates to the final stages of restoration to which the painting has been submitted as of June of last year.
