• Hyv? and Mollie announced a strategic partnership and Hyv? Commerce at Meet Magento NL. Willem Wigman , CEO of Hyv?, highlighted the shared passion for helping businesses thrive, while Mollie’s CCO, Ken Serdons , expressed support for Hyv?’s impactful vision within the Magento community. The beta for Hyv? Commerce is expected in early 2025.

• Adobe Commerce has released B2B version 1.5.0, featuring enhancements like hierarchical company management, multi-company user assignments, and new quote templates for streamlined negotiations. Additionally, version 6.0.3 of Product Recommendations has been released, with fixes for category filters and dependency issues. We're currently reviewing compatibility with Hyv? Enterprise and will have more details soon.

• The Magento Association has announced that the voting period for their Board elections is now open, running from November 4 to November 18, 2024. This election will add two new members to the Board of Directors, helping shape the community’s future. Meet Magento Netherlands 2024

This event surpassed all my expectations, and I had really high expectations! It was incredible from start to finish and I cannot thank the organisers, Mage-OS Nederland volunteers, and the Hyv? team enough for making it such a memorable event.

With all the prep needed for the event, I unfortunately didn't make it to the pre-party but there were a few of the Hyv? team there representing and it looked like a great night! Jaydeep Patel shared these photos that are full of good vibes ??

On the morning of the event, I joined #TeamWalking (those that didn't get a lift in Willems car) and we had a lovely refreshing start the day.

After grabbing a delicious breakfast and an oat milk latte it was time for Sanne Bolkenstein to open the show!

I have to say, the keynote speech given by Patrique Benes from EasyToys was one of my faves! It was funny, informative and definitely was a refreshingly open conversation about sex toys, the industry and the clever tactics EasyToys uses to break through the taboos associated with it. I do hope this session will be shared on YouTube but in the meantime I encourage you to Explore Uranus ???? and join the search for Mount Cl?toris ??, which is 100% a real place in the Philippines.

Next up was Willem Wigman 's Hyv? Commerce announcement talk! It was such a special moment to be a part of, and I sat at the back so that I could share our time-travelling video announcement at the same time as the big announcement on stage.

Being able to see the whole crowd and feel the buzz in the room was just amazing!

Of course, this picture is only half the story - Ken Serdons also joined Willem on stage to share the news of our partnership with Mollie !

Mage UnConference 2024

After a busy day at Meet Magento NL, it was time to wave goodbye to those joining the Hyv? bus to Cologne for the Mage Unconference, complete with its own theme tune ??... The Hyv? bus is coming, and everybody's jumping! Amsterdam to Colognoooo ?? ??

• Dima Janzen shared the excitement of starting the journey to Mage Unconference in Cologne aboard the Hyv? Party Bus. ??

"The Mage Unconference was everything we hoped for and more - a truly welcoming and vibrant event filled with local German hospitality and fantastic company. The atmosphere was warm and family-friendly, complete with childcare, which made it accessible for attendees with young ones. A big shout-out to Jeroen Boersma for sponsoring this thoughtful addition!

The coffee was strong, the food was great, and the personalised orange shirts with our names added a special touch that made everyone feel part of the Unconf family. The pre-party was relaxed and offered good food, drinks, and a chance for friendly conversations to kick off the weekend.

Day 1 was packed with insightful discussions. I had the chance to present two of my topics: a run-through of Hyv? Enterprise, where we covered what it is and how it differs from Hyv? Theme, perfect for both newcomers and those already familiar. This session even turned into an impromptu demo where I showcased features live and answered questions, including one on whether Hyv? Enterprise would add more features beyond Adobe’s offerings. The answer? No, our focus is on matching functionality with better performance and developer experience, while our new features will be in Hyv? Commerce.

We also held a lively Hyv? Commerce AMA with the team to gather questions and feedback. It was a great chance to dive deeper into our vision and hear from the community firsthand.

Other highlights included the agency roundtable, where Andreas von Studnitz joined a discussion on branding and the future of Magento with Benno Lippert , a topic that naturally transitioned into our plans for Hyv? Commerce. Vinai Kopp and others attended a standout session on the Mage-OS Admin theme, with Artem Kozynets showcasing his nearly finished work. The sleek, modern refresh, complete with new icons and an updated Page Builder interface, looked amazing.

The evening closed with a memorable after-party, where good food and company were the perfect backdrop to celebrate Carsten Stech ’s birthday, with everyone singing along.

Takeaways? An incredible event with a wide range of topics that catered to both tech and non-tech interests. The German market shares many of the same concerns, and we hope Hyv? Commerce will be the answer they’re looking for. The community spirit and innovation at Mage Unconference left us inspired and grateful to be part of such an amazing ecosystem."
