• Adobe has released a security update for Adobe Commerce and? Magento Open Source . This update resolves critical, important and moderate vulnerabilities.? Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution, arbitrary file system read, security feature bypass and privilege escalation.

• Sansec - experts in eCommerce security issued an urgent alert about Adobe Commerce/Magento stores being hacked, attributing the attack to Group Peschanki using the CosmicSting bug. They recommend disabling crypt keys manually.

• The Magento Association shared that 20 passionate candidates applied for the board elections, with interviews and updates to follow soon.

• Mage-OS Nederland was excited to share that 83% of tickets for Meet Magento Netherlands are already sold! If you haven't grabbed yours yet, now's the time - this event on October 31st in Amsterdam is shaping up to be amazing!

• Sonali Kosrabe shared her excitement about completing the "Crafting Lightweight Magento with Hyv?" course on Udemy , led by Adam Varga .

• elgentos commerce & configurators hosted a Hyv? Hackathon the day before MageTitans Groningen , where 20 participants worked on exciting Hyv? projects like Admin Grids, WCAG AAA accessibility, Magento 2 widgets, and more. The event planted seeds for future development, and they’re already planning another hackathon next year!

• At Meet Magento UK , John Hughes from Hyv? shared that simplicity is the key to better Magento storefronts. Learn more in his talk and the MM24UK eBook!

• Weronika Witek announced that GDG Poznań DevFest Poznan 2024 is just a month away, and attendees will have the chance to meet Pepper the robot, thanks to Snowdog . Snowdog will also showcase their Hyv? Sparq accelerator, optimised for both B2C and B2B trading.

• The Magento Association shared the Bemeir truck and the track it was playing, which was created by Mathias Schreiber and J?rg Ems .

• Ollie Hunt emphasised that Magento is far from dead, highlighting the distinction between Magento Open Source for innovative merchants and Adobe Commerce for large enterprises. At MM24NYC, Ritesh Somani confirmed Adobe 's commitment to supporting both platforms, debunking any "Magento is dead" narratives.

Willem Wigman , Sanne Bolkenstein , Thien-Lan Weber and John Hughes went stateside for Meet Magento New York 2024 ! It looked like an incredible event, were you there and did you manage to KNICK one of these awesome t-shirts?? ?? (I know, I'm hilarious)

Sanne Bolkenstein shared that it was a blast:

So great to reconnect with old friends and meet new people in the city that never sleeps ??

?? This edition being the third time we attended Meet Magento New York, it's great to see merchants like Bob Toeppner, MBA ? , whom we connected with the first time, now being brand ambassadors for Hyv? after a successful implementation (both Hyv? Theme and Checkout ??)

?? Same goes for partners: 2 years ago, we had a small booth and hardly anyone knew us. This time, we had a lot of representation through our partners like Bemeir , Magebit and qoliber who proudly showcased their Hyv? expertise on their booths (and rightfully so ??)

?? Each edition seems to be surrounded with more ancillary events, which makes it all the more worthwhile (and fun!). This year was the first edition with a Women in eCommerce ( Lady Magento ) event the day before, and it makes me so happy and proud to see this initiative catch on everywhere ??. Thanks to Yueyung Rodriguez and Catherine Tran for making this extra memorable: I loved meeting you! ??

I had the absolute pleasure of attending and speaking at Magentiamo Day in Milan - it was such a wonderful day with an incredible atmosphere!

Hyv? sponsored in partnership with Mollie - I want to give a huge shout-out to Alessia Aquino , Damiano Galante and Adrien Dupuis , it was awesome to get to know you and share a space in the marketplace!

I also gave my first talk for Hyv?! It was such an exciting opportunity to share insights on how Hyv? is transforming Magento and Adobe Commerce projects with faster storefronts, success stories, and the strength of our community and partner program.

Thank you so much to all that came to my talk and for the wonderful feedback too. I really appreciate it and I'm glad I was able to share a slice of Hyv?!

Connecting with so many passionate people in the Magento ecosystem made it an unforgettable experience, so I really wanted to give a mention to Andrea Saccà for bringing it all together and making me feel so welcome! As the only person there (I think) who didn't speak Italian, it was never a problem for people to chat with me in English.

???? Mage-OS Nederland Meetup

On October 18, 2024, the Mage-OS Nederland meetup took place at the Yireo office in Baarn, Netherlands. The event brought together agency owners, merchants, developers, and marketers, along with Sean van Zuidam and Sanne Bolkenstein to discuss the future of Magento, Mage-OS, and Adobe Commerce.

Sean shared insights on transitioning from the Magento 2 distribution to Mage-OS and has also added a new option to his Mage tools script to automate the process and simplify the transition for developers.

?? Node Modules Utilities 1.0.10 Release

We’ve rolled out an update to the Hyv?-Theme Node Modules utilities, now featuring two new functions for adding CSS variables to TailwindCSS. This makes it easier than ever to integrate custom styles into your projects with Hyv?. Documentation will be coming soon.

Dear Di?ry,

Another eventful couple of weeks! From meeting inspiring community members at Magentiamo Day in Milan to our team's prep for Meet Magento Netherlands, it feels like we’re on the cusp of even greater things. ??

If you can be at Meet Magento Netherlands next week, then you NEED to be there! I am sworn to secrecy on the details, but there is going to be so much happening there that you do not want to miss. INCLUDING: Face paints ????

I've really enjoyed seeing the excitement from Platinum Partners after announcing them to the world last week too, and we will be announcing all of our Gold, Silver and Bronze partners this week!

As we grow in numbers and I meet so many people in this wonderful Magento ecosystem, it reminds me just how lucky we are to have such an energetic community that brings their A-game all day, every day.
