Our conclusion for the week ahead is that – our algo indicates that the Bulls – at least for the week ahead – are yet again in control.

For how long the markets will remain Bullish is anyone’s guess – Wath the Fed- Watch the Debt market in Treasuries--- THEY? will be the canary in the coal mine – so to speak – as concerns the direction of the equity markets -IMHO of course – NOT investment advice!

The Takeaway:

Our SPY-VIX Correlation Variation metric -? – confirms? - at least from a purely technical point of view (notwithstanding “Fed manipulation” monkey business) - this coming week’s ongoing Bullishnesss!?

In our opinion massive global bank runs are still ongoing- notwithstanding the massive printing of fiat money to “stem the run on banks”.
?
This is – of course - NOT investment advice – but fasten your seat belts - a bumpy ride awaits!

Swing traders and day traders will make money – the traders that are not nimble will be crushed, in our opinion!

For the past few months, we have been saying that we are entering a global depression, not so much a recession!

They fight to save our hearts, minds, and souls.
Yesterday, I received an excellent question from a Ukrainian journalist. “What will the psychological effects be on Ukraine, after this war?”
It is tempting to plunge into opinions about PTSD and ?the sufferings of soldiers and families in the aftermath of war but if we step beyond those individual traumas and look at the geopolitical effects, the question is easier to answer. In wars the nation that suffers the most psychological trauma, is the nation that loses.
When a nation carries victory home with flags waving and drums beating, the people as a whole believe that their sacrifice was worth it. Their fight has been justified, their efforts are vindicated, recriminations can be given the response ‘but we won.’ The soldiers are all heroes, memorials are built for the dead and parades are held every year.
On the losing side however, the greatest trauma of all - is defeat. It was not worth the effort, or the loss. They are ‘losers’. The victors write ‘the truth’. The losers caused the war, the losers lost the war and the losers will pay for the war. It is difficult for losers to find anything to be proud of; it is difficult to negotiate, and almost impossible to feel equal to the new masters who will decide the future of your culture. Your own people ask why you couldn’t have done more. Guilt and shame rule your existence, and it will take the passing of generations for the scars to fade. Without someone to blame you will be bitter and resentful.
If you are a fool, you will train your children to feel the same way, so they can repeat your mistakes endlessly. Losing is the sin of war, and losing will wage its own psychological destruction on your people – if you let it.
Ukraine must win! The western powers led by the USA must state clearly, ‘Ukraine must win’, for if Ukraine does not win, the whole of eastern Europe will look east and ask themselves why they bothered to believe in democracy, when it was so weak.
Losing to Russia will destroy rules based society, equality under the law and belief in a culture that places ‘we’ before ‘me’. Ukrainians are fighting for their homes and families but they fight for far, far more. They fight to save our hearts, minds and souls.
When this war is over, it must be the people of Russia who ask themselves why they bothered to believe in Putin, when democracy was so strong, - and Ukraine must be magnanimous enough in victory to forgive. Yes, I know it is too soon, - but without forgiveness there is only endless madness.
