Made Locally

Made Locally

One of the responses to Covid 19 has been certain things should be made in Australia. There were early outcries that this included personal protective equipment (PPE). Our politicians quickly support this and a Hong Kong based company SynerTech (with Australian, EU & Canadian approvals) saw an opportunity and was put into contact with Projects RH. The most important product in the PPE the range is the face mask. Face mask are divided into N95 respirators and surgical masks. Normally, the N95 is are about 15% of the market, both but are required. SynerTech is planning a manufacturing facility to make in Australia initially 37 million N95 masks a year which is about 30% of Australia’s requirements normally. They are prepared to match the latest government purchase price and supply 3 million masks a month until their Australian factory comes into operation. At a time when we are looking for new skilled jobs there is nobody they can talk to who can offer them a term supply agreement as states health systems, our military and Commonwealth departments buy separately - there is no one that can supply the order. Yes, we do not have an Australian all government procurement centre. If someone has an answer how we get a contract for 3 million masks a month please let me know.
