Made not born

As many of you already know, I work with a number of Directors across a range of issues facing their Company or their Board but undoubtedly, the overarching concern is understanding what leadership actually means. I looked up the description and found the above quote in Forbes magazine - where else?

It seems clear that being a great Leader isn't something static, the end of a journey from which you never deviate. Like parenting, leadership skills are ongoing and demand we all take responsibility for keeping them honed, learning from out peer group and being ready to take lessons on board, which is exactly what these people are all about.

But are great Leaders born or made? Actually, I'd say they are nurtured and supported which is why it was great to hear about an upcoming event where leaders get to hone their skills among their peers at this fantastic event.

Essentially a members-only group, its worth taking a close look at to see if it's something that might help you on your way to your goals. I know I am!
