The Mad Race Of Consumption!
Petrol prices have nearly doubled in the recent months, and everyone has started to feel the pinch. Rise in the cost shall lead to drop in the demand which is the clear sign of unavoidable recession. Everyone hates the word called “Recession” because it sends very strong negative signal to everyone that days ahead are not going to be easy, and they must live in the scarcity. Is this really the case ? We all must introspect deeply to understand the truth and take wise decision inside our conscious state. Normally we tend to take technical jargons like “ Recession “ on its face value and start to live in someone else’s story and feel vulnerable.?There is already so much anxiety mankind has created though out the evolution and hence one needs to always be ready to hear another wave of so-called bad news which may give much greater anxiety than ever before. Now question is should we really give that kind of response to the stories which keep popping out one after the another or learn to create shield around us so that we feel less anxious and hence happier. In the current world happiness comes from consumption – be it tangible or intangible and everything somehow links back to virtual number called money. So problem is consumption which leads to latter making most of us vulnerable. Unless we understand happiness has nothing to do with material consumption or possession this vicious cycle will continue.?In my understanding happiness is all about remaining equanimous under all the circumstances; being in position to observe all the events and simply remain the observer. As far as we humans are alive there will always be so many stories so let it be! Don’t take it to heart.
Going back to "Consumption" which is the mother of all the problem. Likes of #apple #samsung #huawei #google will keep producing new products making one feel the previous one as garbage and hence creating the need of consuming more. Consumption (real or virtual) is the modern-day drug, and this is the golden opportunity to practice self-restraint and overcome this massive problem of consumption. Imagine how the world will be when consumption is only done when existing stuff is not useful at all and needs to be recycle. There will be lot less stress on everyone and eventually our planet will be at ease too.?Conscious consumption, repairing , reusing existing stuffs can lead to less consumption and that would need lesser money too. Big Boys of this world won’t be happy with this evolution however it’s unavoidable and awaking is now happening for real. Otherwise, if continue dancing on their tunes we humans are only like a Battery Cell to fuel their fictious dream super car which is of no use to common people.?

We started R3 Factory back in 2018 to promote the idea of minimizing consumption of new items through Repair, Renew, Reuse and since the inception it has only grown bigger in it’s significance and daring to solve the problem which normally people don’t even like to talk about. Reusing old stuff is still seen as something which is not so cool! Rather it should be opposite. Any act of humankind which reduces the consumption leads to greater peace and happiness all through out. We all deserve to live and live happily! We all need to achieve it together #Repair #Reuse #Renew #Recycle #EcoWarrior #R3Factory #circulareconomy

2 年Great post Mukul Anand, first we must reduce our consumption then we need to focus on the 3 R's. I love your focus on repair, this is a lost art in our current world. Remember when everyone had a repair guy? We would call him for any household appliance fault. Now if it is out of warranty we replace the appliance.
