Twitter Launches New Promotional Campaign for Spaces and Live Audio Chats

Twitter is determined to continue pushing Spaces as a key connection tool, in an effort to make it a bigger part of the Twitter experience. The latest on this front is a new ad campaign for Spaces - which I’m not sure really sells the option as it would hope.

As you can see, Twitter’s trying to showcase the value of Spaces and audio discussion in the app. And certainly, the Spaces topics that it highlights here are fairly dominant – tap over to the Spaces tab right now and you’ll find any number of Spaces on NFTs, ‘shower thoughts’ and the like.

YouTube Rolls Out New, Separate Data Tabs for Videos, Shorts, Live-Streams and Posts

With Shorts becoming a bigger consideration for YouTube creators, and live-streams also driving significant results, it’s now moving to provide more insight on the individual performance of each content type, with improved analytics options within YouTube Studio.

Tapping into any of these sections will show you dedicated data for each, making it easier to track the performance of your various content types, which has been a top-requested feature at YouTube, particularly since the arrival of Shorts.

Short-form content is the trend of the moment, and on YouTube, Shorts are already driving 30 billion views per day. Which is impressive in itself, but channel managers also want to know what sort of traffic Shorts is generating for their content, and how it contributes to overall growth.

Instagram Will Host a Physical Pop-Up Store in NYC This Week

Instagram’s @shop account is turning three years old this week, while it also recently crossed the million followers threshold, and to celebrate, the platform’s opening a physical retail pop-up store in NYC, where people will be able to browse and buy some of the most popular products featured in the @shop listings.

Instagram has previously hosted pop-up shops in various cities, including London and Berlin, with this new installation being the latest in its ongoing effort to bridge online browsing and offline purchases.

YouTube Launches Expanded Test of Channel Gifting to Help Creators Grow Their Audience

YouTube has announced that it’s expanding its test of membership gifting to more users, after launching an initial trial of the option in Japan earlier in the year.

Just as it sounds, membership gifting enables users to buy channel memberships for others who may be interested in a certain creator or channel, but are not yet paying subscribers.
