LinkedIn initially?launched its ‘Boost’ option last year, providing a simple, quick way to amplify organic posts in the app.
Much like Facebook’s Boost process, the feature aims to simplify ad spend, helping marketers capitalize on early traction to expand their messaging.
As per?LinkedIn:
“With the click of a button and a few payment details, you can easily give your most engaging or time-sensitive content a little boost to quickly expand your audience reach. Google Expands Requirements for Ads Relating to Financial Products and Services.
Google has?announced?an expansion of its rules around ads relating to?financial products and services, in order to provide additional protection from fraud and scams for consumers in more regions.
Google launched the first stage of its new financial services policy roll out in September last year, with providers in the UK required to provide documentation confirming that they’re authorized by the UK Financial Conduct Authority before they can run Google ads.
Now, the same regulations will be expanded to Australia, Singapore and Taiwan, in partnership with their respective local authorities.
"As part of the verification process, financial services advertisers in these markets will need to demonstrate that they are authorized by their relevant financial services regulator, and have completed Google’s advertiser verification program in order to begin promoting their products and services. Advertisers will be able to apply for verification at the end of June, and the policy will go into effect on August 30, 2022. Advertisers that have not completed the new verification process by this date will no longer be allowed to promote financial services.â€
LinkedIn Adds New Elements to ‘Creator Mode’ Including Audio Events and New Audience Growth Opportunities
As you can see in this example, LinkedIn audio events are much like Clubhouse or Twitter Spaces, with the capacity to host audio discussions within the app.
Originally only available to a few selected users, LinkedIn is now making the option more broadly accessible – and really, on balance, it does seem like the option could be a better fit on LinkedIn than almost anywhere else.
With the capacity to facilitate professional connection within industry-aligned meetings and discussions, and moving in line with the broader WFH shift, audio sessions within LinkedIn could be a valuable addition - and if your favorite creators in the app start streaming on a regular basis, it could well be worth tuning in to get the latest news and updates in your sector.
LinkedIn’s also adding a new option for Creator Mode participants to?add a link to the top of their LinkedIn profile,?so that audiences can learn more about them and their brand.
As you can see here, the new option will enable you to add a showcase link on your LinkedIn presence, which could help to drive more referral traffic from the app.
LinkedIn’s also looking to help creators build their audience, both on platform and off, with a new way to share a quick link to your LinkedIn profile that can be embedded on websites and blogs, or forwarded in emails.
“With just one click, a person’s audience can instantly follow them on LinkedIn from any of their other platforms, making it easier to discover content on LinkedIn.â€
