We are delighted to announce that Macro Plastics have partnered with Tri-Wall to sponsor the Automotive Logistics European Conference in Bonn on June 13th and 14th.
Macro Plastics work closely with Tri-Wall to integrate corrugated packaging into its plastic returnable bins such as the ISO Bin and the innovative EuroBin 1210. Over a period of time we have developed a close working relationship with Tri-Wall to provide OEM's and tier suppliers with bespoke packaging and logistics solutions.
This will be the first time that both Macro Plastics and Tri-Wall have jointly sponsored the Automotive Logistics European Conference. During the two-day event, delegates will be able to see first-hand how the Macro Plastic's ISO Bin and EuroBin alongside Tri-Wall packaging can help evolve supply chains and logistics operations.
The focus of this year's conference in Bonn is to develop a clear understanding of where the European automotive market is heading in the coming years at a time of uncertainty due to the unknown ramifications of Brexit, which is less than 12 months away, and the increase in popularity of autonomous vehicles.
The uncertainty is understandable, but it also provides a host of exciting opportunities.
Aside from the market jitters, we continue to strive for optimal operational efficiency in the automotive logistics market. One of the key points the conference will focus on is packaging innovation and how efficiency is a mixture of engineering, standardisation, sustainability and logistics.
All of these factors are at the core of the EuroBin 1210 which is the latest plastic returnable bin we have designed. Tri-Wall has been serving it's loyal customer base with well-engineered, sustainable products that offer savings throughout the logistics / supply chain.
Engineering
Designed by our in-house team in conjunction with an OEM, the EuroBin is the first 900kg capacity bin weighing only 52kg with only 11 components - providing the market with the largest capacity bin on the market, able to transport all components. Through intelligent engineering, the bin is currently the lightest available in the supply chain and logistics industry helping to reduce the weight and, in turn, the cost of transporting the bins when full and empty.
Unlike other plastic bins, the EuroBin has been designed with high visibility forkstraps that can be easily and cost effectively replaced in the plant. This removes the need for bins to spend long periods of time out of the supply chain and having to replace the whole bottom of a bin.
The non-sequential folding doors means it is easier and faster to handle the bin at each stage of the supply chain; the one side drop removes the need to walk around the bin.
Likewise, Tri-Wall is proud of its large corps of in-house designers who develop innovative packaging solutions for its customers – in particular for the automotive industry. Our innovative, often bespoke products are designed to optimise efficiencies and cost savings throughout the supply chain.
Standardisation
The bin has been designed to optimise a European mega trailer as these trailers are the standard across the continent. 10 high folded is the new standard for Plastics Folding Pallet bins, as the Eurobin if the only one to maintain this.
While Tri-Wall’s specialty is to provide well-engineered, bespoke packaging solutions for its customers, standardised products are an integral part of its product offering.
Sustainability
The EuroBin is 100% recyclable using only polymer type and 100% plastic components. At the end of the bins lifecycle, there is a residual value from recycling the bin with the materials being used to make future plastic returnable bins.
Corrugated containerboard is 100% recyclable and an environmentally friendly solution for almost all packaging solutions.
Logistics
You are able to stack the bins 10 when folded on a trailer resulting 260 bins per trailer delivering significant cost downs for clients and reducing the carbon footprint.
When erect, the bins can be stacked three high allowing 130 bins to be transported per load.
Tri-Wall’s core competence is finding unique and innovative designs for packaging solutions to optimize pack density and maximise container volumes. This in turn generates cost savings for our customers.
In short, Tri-Wall’s mission is to be the number one supplier of industrial, multi-material packaging, delivering best in class service and value for its customers.
