MacOS Sequoia Preview

macOS Sequoia introduces Apple Intelligence as well as new features to help you be more productive and creative on Mac. macOS Sequoia also makes it easy to access your entire iPhone on Mac through iPhone Mirroring using the power of Continuity. Additionally, you can more easily tile windows to quickly create your ideal workspace and see what you're about to share while presenting using presenter preview. A big update to Safari brings a redesigned Reader and Highlights that make it easy to get things done while you browse the web. macOS Sequoia also brings text effects and emoji Tapbacks to Messages, Math Notes to Calculator, and the ability to plan a hike in Maps.

Apple Intelligence unlocks a host of intelligent experiences that are delightful, intuitive and easy to use. Like Writing Tools so you can rewrite, proofread and summarise text throughout the system and feel more confident in your writing; Image Playground so you can create totally original images that are personal to you by making them look like the people in your photo library; and a major step forward to Siri, which has more capabilities than ever and uses Apple Intelligence’s understanding of your personal context to give you assistance and help you take actions that are most relevant for you.

iPhone Mirroring

Continuity helps you do so much more when you use Mac and iPhone together. iPhone Mirroring lets you fully access and engage with your iPhone — right from your Mac. You can access and browse your favourite iOS apps, and review and respond to iPhone notifications. And it works great with StandBy, letting you use your iPhone on your Mac while your

Easier window tiling

Stay organised with new ways to arrange your windows into a layout that works best for you. Easily arrange windows into side-by-side tiles on your desktop by dragging each window to the edge of your screen, or place them into corners to keep even more apps in view. And new keyboard and menu shortcuts help you arrange your windows even faster.

Video conferencing

Say goodbye to oversharing with the new presenter preview. It lets you see what you’re about to share before you share it, and works with apps like FaceTime and Zoom. And when you want to express yourself or just hide the laundry behind you, replace your background while video conferencing with some beautiful built-in backgrounds or your own photos.

Safari

The world’s fastest browser3 now offers an even easier way to discover information on the web — like more info about a movie, TV show, or song — with Highlights.5 A redesigned Reader and new viewer make it easy to browse the web and watch videos without distractions.

Passwords

The Passwords app builds on the foundation of password management features Apple has introduced over the last 25 years. Passwords makes it even easier to access your passwords and see all your credentials in one place — backed by seamless syncing and incredibly secure end-to-end encryption.

Messages

Messages has big updates to the way you express yourself and stay connected. All-new text effects and emoji and sticker Tapbacks let you express yourself and your tone fully in all your conversations.

Gaming

This year, an amazing host of games, like the highly anticipated blockbuster Assassin’s Creed Shadows, are coming to Mac along with new features that deliver a more immersive gaming experience. And with Game Porting Toolkit 2, developers have new tools that make it easier than ever to bring even more advanced games to iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Notes

Note taking is getting smarter, and it’s easier than ever to take detailed and well-written notes. New audio transcription features8 enable your Mac to take the notes for you, letting you stay present in a situation where you need to capture details about what’s happening. And if you need to crunch a quick number, just type in an equation to have it solve automatically in your note body.
