????????????The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has officially released a new plastic 10 EGP banknote, with news to release the 20 EGP later in November. The new banknotes are fabricated with the use of polymer instead of cotton paper, making machine wash friendly. Thanks to notions like Westernization, the Paris Agreement for Climate Change has brought about a critical drive to incorporate new systems to slow down the effects of global warming.

????????????The new material used in creating these banknotes are shown to pose many benefits: water resistance, less susceptible to dust, environmentally friendly, and less likely to pollute the environment. The use of polymer has allowed the lifespan of the banknotes to last 3x longer than its previous counterpart.

???????????While this introduction makes for an easier and more convenient bill, please check your pockets before going into the wash. The spin cycle might still be too aggressive on your cash.
