Machine tool lighting
The lighting in your machining centre can cause more issues than you may first think:
- Can operators see the spindle and workpiece?
- Have guards been removed to allow better lighting into the machining centre?
- Are operators leaving the door open and putting themselves at risk to see the job?
To address these issues, it's important to have adequate lighting on your machine tool. However, for the lights to be effective they need to be installed in some rather hostile locations where they are prone to:
- Coolant
- Swarfs
- Vibrations
Additional to the require ruggedness of these lights, care must be taken to select a light that will not cause confusion due to the stroboscopic effect making it look like the spindle is moving slowly or not at all.
What lighting product can provide a solution for this?
We recommend the Track ALPHA range to meet your needs. There is a size available for all applications and options exist for both ELV and LV to suit your machine requirements.
