Machine Learning - is it so easy?
One of my friend asked me today...what is machine learning? let me try it out here
8 x 1 = 9
8 x 2 = 18
8 x 3 = 27
8 x 4 = ??
Please comment...I will take it to machine learning from tomorrow...
May I ask on what basis 8 x 4 = 36
There is no science which says so.
There is no mathematic formula which claims 8 x 4 = 36.
Moreover no computation which determine this.
Then what it is?
Is it Machine learning…
Here is my opinion.
Partially yes. How?
3 steps process:
1. Data & Classifications (8 x 1 = 9, 8 x 2 = 18 & 8 x 3 = 27)
2. Parameters & Model (identification of regression & pattern from data-set)
3. Learner & Prediction (decision/resulting based on data model & pattern, 8 x 4 = 36)
Regression (Linear/ Polynomial Regression, Curve Fitting) is core of machine learning, which fits under Mathematics.
Just a heads up...Machine learning is much more deeper and I am beginner :)

5 å¹´Why we need ML today? Why everyone is jumping as Frog behind ML & AI ? How was the system worked in the? past decades without ML in software industry ? I suppose everyone is getting bored speaking about? Java, .NET, C#, HTML in the IT Industry and created a new buzzword ML. Today everyone is talking about? ML. After another decades new name will come say 'Virtual ML' becomes pronoun and it will keep on going in IT industry... eventually everyone will be traveling with that mind set as like today ML & AI buzzwords..

7 å¹´Analyzing the output sequence, it seems to be some Arithmetic progression. So, it should be 36 (assuming the sequence and the fact that you have made your machine learn that :P). But quite curious to learn about Machine Learning from you. Always brief and up to the point.
