On Monday (April 25, 2022), Twitter Inc. (NYSE: TWTR) accepted the bid from Tesla CEO Elon Musk to take over the company. The acquisition of the said network is $44 billion.
Which by the way, the bidder is also one of the social media network's most influential user.
Elon also reiterated new features to "soften" Twitter's stance on moderation. "Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated."
Musk tweeted on Monday, "I hope that even my worst critics remain on Twitter, because that is what free speech means.

MANAGEMENT:
CEO Parag Agrawal told staff much about the future of the company is up to the bidder. Until then, he'll remain CEO until the deal closes.
Twitter price is USD 49.77 down 3.82%.
