While acquisitions of VC-backed targets were on the lighter side, early-round investments sustained their drive.

??dbt Labs, a Philadelphia, PA-based startup building developer tools for data analytics, acquired Transform, a San Francisco, CA-based analytics engineering firm which had raised $24.5 million from the likes of Index Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, Fathom Capital and Work-Life Ventures. ??Lantheus, a North Billerica, MA-based maker of a broad range of diagnostics, therapeutics and AI-powered platforms, acquired Cerveau Technologies, a Knoxville, TN-based radiopharmaceutical company developing tau-spotting PET tracer for Alzheimer’s treatment. (More in Fierce Biotech)

???IBM, an Armonk, NY-based IT Services company, acquired StepZen, a GraphQL API startup that had raised $8 million of Seed investment from Neotribe Ventures and Wing Venture Capital. (More in TechCrunch)

??Binance, a blockchain and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider and a digital asset exchange, acquired a majority stake in GOPAX, a South Korea-based crypto exchange. (More in VC News Daily)

???SEON, a Budapest, Hungary-based anti-fraud platform which looks at a customer’s “digital footprint” to weed out false accounts and prevent fraudulent transactions, acquired Complytron, a Budapest, Hungary-based compliance and AML specialist firm which had previously raised $440k from Hiventures, for a reported $2.7 million consideration.
