Basic knowledge

M365 Copilot is available with an additional licensing fee of $30 per user per month on top of the E3/E5 or Business Premium / Standard licensing. It is important to have a proper implementation plan to ensure long-term usage of the licenses.

Are you ready to take-off?

Since the general availability for Enterprise customers on November 1st, I have had many conversations about how to get started with M365 Copilot. One of the most important aspects is being Copilot-ready. Although today's newsletter is not about adoption, I would like to highlight the importance of readiness. I discussed this topic in more detail a few weeks ago in my expert blog. Copilot: Are you ready for take-off? | Campana & Schott (campana-schott.com)

M365 Copilot in your Flow of Work

When we talk about M365 Copilot, most of us think about boosting productivity. But how does it work?

Architectual View on M365 Copilot

Let's start with a basic understanding of the Copilot architecture.

M365 Copilot is built with tenant isolation in mind, ensuring that your company can only access its own content and that your actions have no effect on the service of another company. Access permissions remain unchanged, and Copilot only analyzes data for which the user has at least read permission. It is also possible to exclude certain data sets from the semantic index.

M365 Copilot directly in your apps

Now that we have a basic understanding of M365 Copilot, let's take a look at where we can integrate it into our workflow.

M365 Copilot is always just one click away, directly integrated into your productivity tools.

We bought licenses to test out Copilot for MS365 at my company. And I regret it. I paid $392/license since you need to sign up for a year upfront And it just a very underwhelming product... It takes super long to draft emails, they tend to be not well structured, doesn't capture languages, meeting notes are underwhelming as well. Also not great at managing languages always drafts in english,... the list goes on. My org will be sticking to start ups that are doing an amazing job. MailMaestro for Outlook, Otter.ai for Teams are my two must haves.
