Over the years we built many apps,

Each unique with its own link,

To ensure that there are no gaps,

Each had authentication to avoid the chink.

The user had to login in separately to each of them,

Even when they all had the password same,

The password had to be a real gem,

For complex combinations was the game.

Some apps went the extra mile,

Added multiple factors of authentication as the login style,

Some had captcha as an attempt,

They were trying to computers preempt.

Passwords had to many attacks fell,

On how many sites were they the same, no one could tell,

Passwords could be forgotten,

And some could be guessed and were rotten.

Passwordless is the new normal,

With multiple factors of authentication as the approach formal,

Apps can now focus on function,

And a self service portal was the new junction.

Features were bundled in this portal,

A one login, a one logout,

And finally, we can shout,

Passwords are now mortal.

1. If you want to check how strong is your password, there are links that can help you enter a random string and check for the same. Most sites suggest that length of the password is more important than complexity of the password characters.
2. I am sure a lot of you are already using or attempting passwordless authentication.
