What is your name and where are you from?

My name is ?Michael E. Reach (M.E. Reach), and I am from Bend, Mississippi, Arizona, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Bangladesh, and now Romania.

What do you do for a living?

I am an English & Literature teacher, Officiant for Weddings, volunteer community outreach worker.

What are your hobbies and interests?

I love writing, traveling, teaching, and hosting game nights or dinners with friends.

What are two special or unique things about you that are probably not known by your co-workers and acquaintances?

I was once a still-frame model for a brochure article during high school, and again in college. I would rather attend a high school girl's fast-pitch softball game than any other sporting event, even professional.

Are there causes or issues that you truly care about?

Equal education and the opportunity for the impoverished to learn (and live) with the same basic needs as any and everyone else. Selflessness over selfishness. Forgiveness over vengeance. For everyone to study a breadth of history, not simply snippets of mass-media slants and agendas.

What is your story as a person?

I was raised poor, by American standards, but by a mother who gave everything she had so selflessly to ensure I could become anything I desired to be in life. As a result, I've strived to do just that. While she never had the time to study and finish her GED, she made sure I finished high school, and transitioned into adulthood knowing the value of hard work and dedication, even if I wasn't the one to benefit from each and every endeavor. I've been blessed my whole life with 'quiet conquerors' who taught me so much more than school or a Master's degree ever could - they taught me perspective. They taught me the meaning of Hope and how to live mercifully toward others; they taught me to never judge something by other people's opinions or rants, but to approach every rigid situation with something flexible to offer. Now, I see my purpose in writing and living is to offer those same opportunities to others who otherwise might not have someone willing to set aside themselves so others might grow.

What is the main story you want to share with the world through your book?

In the words of Oscar Wilde, 'Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future.

M. E. Reach is the author of “The House on the Bend” available for order on Kharis Website and Amazon.

If you had an opportunity to share just ONE message with the WHOLE WORLD, what would it be?

There are certain issues and perspectives in the world we instantly cringe simply at the sound of hearing it said aloud through lenses given to us by others without ever truly listening, researching, or seeking to understand them ourselves. Being an honest and true follower of Jesus Christ is one of those things.

What does family mean to you? Tell us about your family.

Everything. I met my crazy, amazing wife and knew immediately I would rather die than be away from her for a single second. I know, it sounds sappy and overly dramatic, and I wish there was something manly I could say in place of such a thing, but there's not. Nineteen years and five crazy, amazing kiddos later, and I'm still awestruck by her ability to put up with my lame jokes; to encourage me and my minions as we tackle all these silly imaginative endeavors, and I'm overwhelmed by the thought of having the chance to share another breath tomorrow with such wonderful people all over again.

Davis Allen's life changes the night he loses control of his truck and destroys the fence of the house on the bend. It's the same night he sees his old man remove his hat to speak to the elderly woman in the porch light.

Liam King has tried to live honorably in the eyes of the folks of Harrison since the accident, but when he sees a car stop an' dump a young woman on the side of the road before it speeds away a choice must be made.
