LYRIS TIPS

One of the pandemic's effects was the normalization of remote or hybrid working. Nowadays, if you have a desk job, you feel more productive working like this. You eliminate the commute time, get more sleep and have a better overall work-life balance. This is also a great opportunity to work for international companies without the need to move to another city or country. However, working remotely is not always easy and there are a lot of challenges. Therefore, we want to share some tips with you to boost your focus and productivity.

1) Have a dedicated workspace: The ideal setting is if you can have a separate room just to work and where you can close the door and don't be bothered with distractions, but often this isn't possible. Try to have at least a desk where you can have all your work stuff without the need of moving it aroiund everytime you want top start working. this will save you a lot of time. Also, if there is more than 1 person working remotely in your house, it may be better for you to work in separate rooms so you don't get bothered with each other video calls.

2) Have a detailed task list: This will help you stay focused in one task at a time and as you cross each task from the to do list you will feel productive and that you are accomplishing what you set out for that day and week. Therefore it will increase your motivation.

3) Communicate regularly with your team: Daily interaction with your team is essential to increase the sense of belonging and reducing isolation feelings. Book regular calls to take care of work-related topics, but also for socializing at least once a week to increase the sense of belonging and reduce the feeling of isolation.

Hope you find this useful. We will be back next month and big news for you!
