As you can see by the subject line, I am in a foul mood.
Maybe foul is not the right word.
You tell me what the right word is... Let me tell you what has put me into this particular mental state.
In the past 3 days, I have observed two lyin' sacks spouting off mistruths, blatant exaggerations, twisting stories, and just downright dishonest.
Lying sack of Pluto poop #1
Last week I was a part of a high level mastermind with 7, 8 and even 9 figure businesses. (yes, there were a lot of zero's and commas in their revenue). There was a huge stable of successful entrepreneurs that I was able to listen to, talk with and ask questions of.
One of the guest speakers who was a subject matter expert on YouTube ads, presented on the first day. As I normally do, I researched him before the meeting to have a better basis of understanding.
I watched one of his webinars, and thought, "Wow!, Good stuff!".
For the mastermind, he was promoted as bringing advanced information, not found in his public speeches. Something completely new and exclusive for our group.
I had 3 sharpened pencils, two pens and a pad, ready for him to regale me with nuggets of new wisdom. Everything was great.... except for the beginning, middle and end.
After the first 2 sentences, I said to myself, "this sounds familiar". After the next few minutes, I realized that his presentation was EXACTLY what I watched just days before.
He kept using the terms "advanced", "exclusive" and "never been shared before".
BULL POOP!
I wanted to expose him right then and there. But thought better of it.
But what really galled me was an email he sent to his general list just a couple of days later referencing his presentation to our group. Here is the gist of it:
"Since I knew the crowd was going to be high-level… I shared some of the most advanced strategies that have helped us squeeze every dollar we can from our ad campaigns on YouTube. I haven’t quite gotten the green light from Brian yet to share the replay… (I want to be respectful and keep everything exclusive with his members) But if he gives us the thumbs up, would you want the replay?"
What a lying sack of Pluto Poop!
Now is his information good? Admittedly, yes it is. It has me VERY interested in implementing YT ads.
But it just won't be with his company.
Lying sack of Pluto poop #2
I ran across this other goo (a sticky or slimy substance) roo fairly infrequently. he is the epitome of a used car salesman. Every time I am done talking to him, I feel like I need to bathe in sanitizer.
Yuk!
Anyway, this guy has been a lying sack since the day I met him and taking advantage of people/entrepreneurs for as long as I can remember. he used to sell a program where you could speak at Harvard, and then use that speech in your marketing.
Except that you really weren't at Harvard.
And the audience was made up of all the other people who signed up for the "speak at Harvard" program. Once Harvard found out about it, they banned him.
He then took that same program and moved it to West Point.

Yes, THAT West point.
One thing I know, is you do not screw with the military.
It was at about this point that complaints started popping up all over the internet. So many in fact, that the Wall St. Journal investigated him and wrote a story about it. Completely debunking the program. (WSJ 2/16/18 )
Quoted from the WSJ: A West Point spokesperson said Army regulations prohibit any support of commercial entities: “The U.S. Military Academy did not invite #name# to hold an event at West Point, and does not endorse their venture.” Harvard followed up with: "Mr. #name#’s events “were never sanctioned in any way by Harvard Business School and any inference to the contrary by him or his participants is false.
Now he has moved to Mexico, out of reach of US authorities.
But he is still up to his old shenanigans.... As illustrated in the ad for his new book: I love Mexico and Mexico City! Read the entire story of how I became a Mexican and How I went from a loser driving a taxi for 6 years to multimillionaire Celebrity Entrepreneur and what I learned from international superstars and 5 US Presidents that helped me get to my life of luxury as told in the stories for my Pulitzer Prize nominated book “Wisdom Of The Men"
Now to be clear, you too can say "what I learned from presidents & celebrities" in your marketing. All you have to do is read a book about said president and BAM! you have learned something. It doesn't even need to be a book, a meme on Twitter construes the same thing.
Oh... and BTW, anyone can be nominated for a Pulitzer prize. You can even nominate yourself. https://www.pulitzer.org/page/how-enter
It doesn't mean you are going to win, but you can nominate.
What's the point, Vance?
