LUZCO Testifies in Support of Ameren Missouri’s Smart Energy Plan Extension

This morning, LUZCO President Lusnail Haberberger and Program Delivery Manager Jason Rogers spoke in front of the Missouri House of Representatives and Senate, respectively, in support of SB756/HB1734, which “seek to improve the provisions of the Smart Energy Plan and extend it beyond the initial five-year trial, which will expire at the end of 2023.”?

LUZCO, as a supplier, has personally witnessed the benefits of Ameren Missouri’s Smart Energy Plan (SEP). In the first three years of the SEP, Ameren has completed more than 2,000 projects, including installing outage detection equipment, restoration switches, upgraded substations and sturdier utility poles – all of which have drastically improved service reliability for more than 500 Missouri communities.

The SEP has enabled LUZCO to further develop our service portfolio, build a diverse team of talents (i.e., create jobs), and give back to the communities we serve. Today, Haberberger testified that “while so much has been accomplished to strengthen the state’s energy grid, much more remains to be done.”?
