Good bye, First Republic. The luxury banking experience will hopefully remain.
If you are like me, you were blown away by the service and attention that First Republic provided to its clients. I will never forget the confusion I felt when I walked into one of their branches back in the early 2000's. Was this a bank? I was invited to sit at a desk with my banker and quietly discuss money and deposits and whatever? Cookie and coffee? It was the difference between standing in a fast food line and sitting at a table with a tablecloth and talking to a waitperson.
I have not met as person yet who banks at First Republic who was saddened by their demise. We all loved their luxury service and hope it remains constant.

I believe that extraordinary service and trust is what we crave and will never be replaced by a computer.?It has been said that the new commodity is attention, and the new currency is time. I submit that the new luxury is trust. It is increasingly difficult to find- in our ever changing world.?
