Luxembourg Private Banking Outlook 2022-2023 - Snapshot of the Credit Advisory population

The population of Credit Advisors is significantly younger (42.3 years) than that of our panel, which stands at 44.7 years, with an overall professional experience of 17.5.

In fact, their length of service with their current employer (7.2 years) as well as in their current position (4.8 years) is significantly shorter than that of the Front-Office population we have already had occasion to present.

?It is made up of a mix of experienced staff in their fifties and younger staff in their thirties. Generally speaking, these professionals have a high level of education, with 65% of them having an MBA, a percentage that rises to 80% if we add those with an MBA and above.

The average remuneration is €107,000 with an average bonus of €21,000; just over 40% of these professionals have a leasing budget of €686 per month.

In 2022, we noted a significant turnover and strong recruitment demand in this population, whereas Private Banks, in particular those backed by large banking groups, have made Credit Advisory a differentiating tool for winning over their most sought-after client segments (Key Clients/Strategic Clients). After investment advisory, credit advisory has become an integral part of the commercial system.

In fact, the most sought-after profiles are those capable of combining expertise in terms of credit structuring, risk analysis and commercial temperament, maintaining a close relationship with clients and sales teams.
