Lunar New Year
One thing I love about being an Asian-American is that it seems that I get to double-dip on the holidays.
We have our Korean cultural holidays and we also celebrate our American holidays.
The holiday that gives me a bit of relief is the New Year and the Lunar New Year.
I always have the mindset of "Let's go!" for the New Year, but if the year seems to get off to a rocky start, I am able to fall back on the Lunar New Year to get a second momentum, if you will.
I envisioned a less crazy start to 2024, but alas, I am on day 27 of a 34 day stretch of work. I am not kidding. I have been working every day since 1/15.
I am kind of freaking myself out today because of how crazy it feels that I will be working the same shift this weekend and it LITERALLY FEELS like I was there maybe just YESTERDAY even though it's been a week. The passing of time and how fast it goes is truly scaring me.
So I've been trying to be very conscientious of time, to try to savor moments, to intentionally find things to enjoy in each day.
So you can understand my relief that tomorrow marks almost a "second chance" at a new 2024--again hoping that I will be intentional and conscientious about the passing of time instead of finding myself in bewilderment at the sense of deja vu I am having.
So again I say "Happy New Year--may only blessings flower in your life!"
