Lunar New Year is coming... Book a talk for your organisation!

The Year of the Dragon is fast approaching (10th February) and off the back of successful and well-received talks I presented in 2023 about the Lunar New Year, I am now taking enquiries and bookings to hire me to speak at your organisation about this auspicious festival from the end of January through to 24th February. Prices currently start at just ￡100 for a limited time only!

Last year, my activities included:

• A co-hosted talk with Viv Yau from besea.n (Britain's East and South East Asian Network) for Direct Line Group's REACH Network
• An internal Lunch & Learn at Culture Shift
• Organising and hosting the event "The importance and power of ED&I during Lunar New Year" attended by more than 70 people

My talks can focus on one of two topics surrounding Lunar New Year or an amalgamation of both:

1. Celebrating and embracing the diversity of Lunar New Year

An overview of what Lunar New Year is, where and how it is celebrated in different regions around the world, with advice on how organisations can celebrate the festival inclusively, whether or not you have employees who do. This is suitable for any organisation looking to increase awareness and understanding of other cultures and traditions, and one that has been at the forefront of a multicultural society for decades, yet knowledge about it is not that widespread.

2. Profits vs. People: The business of Lunar New Year

This talk looks at ways organisations mark Lunar New Year externally and how they can do so differently. This is mainly suited to those that sell products and services aimed at the ESEA (East and Southeast Asian) community or who have a sizeable ESEA audience, encouraging them to think of the time as less of a money-making campaign and more as time to support their audiences, including using inclusive language in communications. It's great for your marketing and sales, as well as senior leader/executive/C-Suite teams.

Either talk lasts around an hour and can be delivered in-person if in Greater Manchester or Greater London, or virtual if hybrid or remotely.
