Lunching & Learning - what’s been going on and what’s coming up?
We’ve had a great couple of Lunch and Learn events over the past couple of months, with some great feedback received - so we thought we’d share a short blog on what’s been covered so far… and what’s coming up.
Our Lunch and Learn events do exactly what it says on the tin, so-to-speak. We blend nourishment with knowledge, offering an opportunity for our business and the academic community to get together and learn and connect with each other?while enjoying a lunch which is provided.?
So far, we’ve ran sessions on utilising AI for Business and Igniting your growth and we’ve had some great feedback from those that attended.?
During the AI session, we covered some of the practical applications of?Artificial Intelligence?in the business world. Participants gained valuable insights into how AI can drive?efficiency,?innovation, and?growth?within their organisations.?
At our Igniting your growth session which was led by Mark Darcy and Chris Silverwood, we covered some top tips around how business' can turn charge their sales strategies and improve operations. Both Chris and Mark’s insights resonated with the audience, emphasising the importance of practical takeaways for business growth.?
Insights from Mark Darcy:
“It was a pleasure to speak with business owners at the Portsmouth Barclays Eagle Labs yesterday. My goal was for people to take two things away that they could use to improve their business operations: making them more productive and effective, as well as empowering employees through world-class processes. According to the responses I’ve got, it was achieved and more.”
So, what’s coming up??
On the 10th July, we’ll be looking at Scaling up your business by accessing flexible enterprise. We’ll be running a panel discussion with?four leading experts where we’ll address the key drivers for growth: finances, marketing, people, and technology.
Then, on the 31st July, we’ll be revisiting AI for Business - this time, uncovering some of the specific practical tools that you can use in your business today to boost sales. This session is titled: How to use AI as Your Unfair Advantage.
A further Lunch and Learn is being lined-up for September and beyond (we’ll be having a break in August!) so, sign up to our socials and keep your eyes peeled for more news soon.

Luke - our Barclays Eagle Lab Ecosystem manager - has a few loves in his life. Three of them are: People; the Planet; and Pints! So on that note, when he discovered there’s a worldwide meet-up movement that aims to gather people who share the same love, he jumped on making one happen in Portsmouth!?
So what can you expect if you come along on the 27th June? No pitches, powerpoints or panels. Just People, Planet, Pints. Everyone welcome, regardless of their experience or background. People Planet Pint is a space where everyone can feel comfortable learning about sustainability and sharing their ideas.
…oh and did we mention, the first 33 drinks are on the organisers?!
