Lukaku Mistake?

Okay, there has been recent reports that Chelsea FC are going to try and buy back Romelu Lakuku from Everton after a stellar season by the Belgian. Whilst a lot of sports writers are calling it a mistake and trying to shame Mourinho for letting Lukaku go in the first place. I hold a different view.
Before the start of the 2013-14 season, Mourhino had announced that Lukaku would feature heavily in his first team plans. Lukaku was heralded as the next Didier Drogba and would take Chelsea to great heights. The only way seemed up for the young Belgian.
Fast forward a month later to the European Super Cup. A young Lukaku steps up to take a penalty against the goalkeeper who came third in the Ballon D'or Manuel Neuer. Lukaku known previously for a thunderbolt of a left foot decides to pass the ball against the best goalkeeper in the world. The result? a miss which disgusted his manager and an instant transfer to Everton the next day.
The world seemed to be caving in on Lukaku and he must have wondered where next from that point onward. Now in 2016, he is tearing headlines and scoring goals. He seems to have matured. The Lukaku we see today is a result of that decision by Mourinho. We have seen too often promising young players who tail off because they are afforded the luxury of thinking they are greater than the club and making decisions for personal glory rather than for the team.
If Lukaku had stayed, he would have under performed because he would feel like the club needs him rather than vice versa and that is the major reason all the top clubs have been capitulating in the premiership this season.
So Mourinho didn't make a mistake in selling him, he made Lukaku understand that to become great, you will need to put your team above yourself and if Chelsea go ahead and pay in excess off £50m for him, they would get a matured player and should thank Jose Mourhino for that.
