A LUCKY SHOT

The Orpheum auction starts Saturday night at 6 p.m. Come enjoy bidding, drinking and people watching at Memphis' theater palace. The art on auction includes my attached photos mounted in a 22x28 frame.

If you like it, you can bid on it. If you are one of those lawyers who don't like me, you can come make fun of it.

In any case, come to the Orpheum auction. It is a great time.

A LUCKY SHOT

This photograph looks like it is 3 a.m. in Vegas. There is only one taxi on the dark street. Only the neon glows.

Actually it was taken about 9 p.m. When the traffic lights stop traffic there are just a few seconds when there are no cars on the street in either direction. There is even less time when “Well Drink” is on the marquee. This is also lucky timing in that well drink actually is parts of two messages that just ended up in that fraction of a second at the right place at the right time.

The cab ended up in the right place at the right time. The traffic was gone and for that one moment and the sign lined up. So this, as dark as it may look, is a very lucky picture.
