Luciad 2023.1 release now available

It has been a hot minute since my last post – so for that reason: Happy New Year to everyone!

And since it has been a while, we are kicking things off right ushering in a fantastic and forward looking 2024. Hexagon US Federal is excited to announce the release of?Luciad 2023.1. With the new release we are adding important, relevant and mission critical new features to LuciadCPillar, LuciadFusion, LuciadLightspeed and LuciadRIA and?improves the developer experience in all products. Products you are already familiar with and use in your day-to-day operations. Some of the new capabilities include:

For LuciadFusion?v.2023.1

• Extends access control support: You can now specify fine-grained geospatial access rules, through areas of interest and scale ranges?

For LuciadLightspeed and LuciadFusion v.2023.1

• Adds structural improvement to 3D Tiles Engine, also called Meshup: Tiling data is faster, uses less memory and produces smaller output results
• Includes important security upgrades: Recent versions of third-party libraries mitigate the risk of vulnerabilities?

For LuciadCPillar?v.2023.1

• Includes new raster, line and point styling options to enrich the operational view: You have more flexibility when creating the required presentation of business data; lines can now be styled using repeating patterns and strokes
• Adds Military Grid Reference System (MGRS) support: You can visualize an MGRS grid in 2D and 3D including labeling of grid cells and parse and format coordinates in the MGRS format

For LuciadRIA?v.2023.1

• Adds new data viewing options:?You?now have a cartesian or an orthographic view for 3D data, or a projected map wrapped around the date line when viewing data in 2D ?
• Greatly enhances BIM data usability: Navigation?within large BIM datasets has improved, as well as selection visualization of objects that are often occluded by others
• Adds support for Google’s Photorealistic 3D Tiles: You can visualize a worldwide dataset containing 25,000 cities and combine it with other data into the LuciadRIA view; this includes draping of feature data over 3D Tiles

Of course, as per the new release policy, existing customers who have 2023.0 license files will not need to request a new license file for 2023.1. This means that, per product, you can download the 2023.1 version with your 2023.0 license file of that product.?
