Conference Wrap- The LTYB 2024 Grow Annual Conference was totally finalised with an incredible review. We summarise the event as a huge success based on feedback from all attendees. The only one negative in the review was based around meals being served as a 3-course meal v buffet which sounds small but there was a 10 min time delay.
Once again, thanks so much to all sponsors. We start the planning for 2025 exactly 3 months post event and have a 9-month run up. Gold Coast will 99% be the location.
Big wave of new members- We had 255 new members join LTYB with a strong retention of 95%. Our new start up offer will lower retention by 2-3%, however lowering the barrier to entry has been a huge win.
New Start up offer success- We are moving away from our previous 6 Week kickstart which was our Gold Medal offer for new members. It is a deeper convo but our new offer has changed the game without discounting. To any fitness operators out there, please don’t discount.. It is a crazy mindset, and it sends a message that you don’t back your service. (Happy to explain more)
HQ Sales team is building- This has been the best decision the group has made in the last 2 years. A pain point in the industry has been developing owners’ ability to sell. Yes, all brands would have a huge investment into sales training, however LTYB Deploy an internal sales person to work in studios that need more support and development. It is not just the actual sales, but it is the development of managers/owners by working together in a sales team. We have changed the sales projections big time of the first 2 studios we work with.
Sales- Some $$ is clearing, however it looks like we will be within 2% of our best ever month in 23 years without any silver bullet campaign.
LTYB Hiking Trip- We led another LTYB Hiking trip which was epic as per usual. Yes, this is like a hobby and .1% of the business but creating an experience for members is gold.
New Franchise Owner- We are excited to welcome new Franchise owners in North Perth. We are currently looking for a site right now.
Franchise interest- For one reason or another, we have experienced record interest in LTYB Ownership.
Ascot Vale -New Studio open- Our 20th Open is coming very soon with the official date ready to be released this week. The site is in Ascot Vale which is ironically where LTYB was born 23 years ago. Wow! ?The studio has had a very strong pre-open membership campaign.
Programming upgrade- Through the great brains of our owners, we had an upgrade in programming philosophy.

Our 5th training zone implementation- After a release of a new training zone on July 1, we have rolled out more sites with this extra zone.
HQ training- We ran multiple ZOOMS and training sessions in August. We also executed more suite visits as per our support model. We nail a site visit 4 times per year per site.
New records- We had many new studio records in August. Official data is clearing; however it looks like approx. 30% had their best ever month.
Huge Milestone Months- Congratulations to SO many members who hit their 1000th session at LTYB. That is 4+ years as a member.
New Record of average tenure as a LTYB Member- This number is crazy, the average member now last 305 days at LTYB. The way our memberships work is predominantly pay as you go on week to week, therefore people only train if they pay as we don’t do old school contracts and never have. Members need choice especially now which is great for the buyer. We are SO proud of this number, it means our unique model is awesome.
Closing note, I was training at a LTYB 2 weeks ago as part of our Franchise Support structure and I knew one of the members that is moving to the country 300KM away, I said “I am sure everyone will miss you here after these years” then he said, the only reason why I stayed in Melbourne after I retired from work was because of LTYB. This place was keeping me in Melbourne. WOW!!!
That is why we do what we do.
