LTYB East Keilor Growth Story
I know I pump LTYB East Keilor up publicly as I absolutely love our Franchise Owner Laurie’s passion and commitment to the LTYB model, systems and processes, but I think there are some good lessons for all business owners in this blog.
When writing blogs, the ancient agenda is to pump up amazing news stories, showcase the brand which promotes a biggest bicep competition.
However, the motivation to write this blog is to educate others out there on the reality of being a business owner and how resilience and persistent can help achieve business goals by not doing what you have always done.
First up, at LTYB, we have 2 types of owners.
?
2. The second type of owner is the hands-on PT who is a gun PT and spends most of the day with the sleeves rolled up. They are probably not naturally working their budget, marketing plans, planning a 2nd site or looking at other business opportunities.
Both are involved in the business and both work really well.
Laurie is Franchise Owner number 2 as an elite PT. When she started 9 years ago (She won’t mind me saying this) she wasn’t spending Sunday’s forecasting sales/expenses/cash positions etc. Her strategy was work hard, take a heap of sessions and hope her brute work rate and passion would her succeed. ??
Laurie worked out she needed to develop other parts of her game which was mainly work “ON” the business.
This really was spending more time developing an elite team and not a Key person dependent business, work on her sales games, even higher engagement with the member base, execute a marketing plan and view herself as a business owner v a PT who bought a job on a modest income to be honest.
Since these tweaks after our 2024 Annual Conference, LTYB East Keilor has experienced very strong growth in the last 6 months due to the changes and she recently achieved some really cool outcomes which are listed below. She also got an external coach Shane Mckeogh from SAOR Consultancy in Perth (who also works with around 10 LTYB Studios) who she connects very well with, in fact Shane is one of the very best consultants I have ever seen in this space. (Feel free to check out his website, absolute gun)
Anyway, ?the first achievement was a record day of members training, however it wasn’t the new number she hit for the first time ever in the 9-year history, it was the fact that Laurie wasn’t at the studio when the record was broken and she was working ON the business at home strengthening other areas.
Her second achievement -She has hit her biggest week ever just gone with over 500 workouts and has a very healthy PT Team.
There are other great achievements that follow attendance records such as revenue of course which we wouldn't write about.
This means for the first time of the year, she is in the conversation for Franchise of the year at our 2025 Annual Conference.
There are many factors for the growth but well done to Laurie and all involved for breaking new ground 9 years in and on the cusp of greatness.
Key message for any readers, anyone can break new ground in a business even after years, there just needs to be a plan to make changes, tweaks, learn and don’t do what you have always done..
Well done Laurie.
