LSP Tech Talk #2 - recap

Yesterday, Wednesday, our LSP Tech Talk took place for the second time.

Our expectations were high - we already had around 100 participants in our zoom sessions at the first Tech Talk.

But we were not disappointed here. About 120 participants, including LSP clients, small, medium and large LSPs, came together for a constructive exchange on the topic: "business automation in the language industry".

Throughout the value chain, from content owners to LSPs to partners, there are many systems that can be connected. This is where we can help with our expertise and our understanding of the market.

In addition, our great speakers shared their visionary thoughts with us and gave us an insight into the processes they work with on a daily basis.

Gerd Janiszewski spoke on the business case for outsourcing or developing technology in-house. Marc Mittag and Remy Blaettler relayed their experience using an open-source model at Supertext. Achim Ruopp discussed how to find the best MT service for your language pairs and content. Carmen Cisneros, Sarah Turpin, and Fabrizio Franchitti discussed automation in vendor management and Kirti Vashee gave a presentation on the technology revolution in the language industry and how organizations are moving from translating millions of words to billions of words in real-time to create data-driven customer experiences.

The idea was to establish so-called "Meet the Speakers" breakout sessions after the presentations, in which the participants could ask concrete questions about the respective presentations and thus get into a deep exchange with the speakers and also with each other.

We could see that this was a great success from the packed breakout rooms. We had to collect the participants in order to continue with the programme.

So one thing should be clear, we are definitely going into the third round with you.
