L+R Design Exchange

In the world of remote work, maintaining connections and creativity can be a challenge, especially for Designers and Engineers. So we’re trying out a new format at L+R – the Design Exchange.

The aim of the?Design Exchange?is to create a platform for internal collaboration, where we embrace the diversity of our team's design thinking. We're not in search of the "best way," but rather, we want to celebrate the multitude of ways to solve the same problem.

How it works

Each month we will meet for 1 hour to share our approach to a problem or topic that is shared in advance with the team. We’ll use the Wednesday afternoon Design Jam session, as to not add any additional time to our calendars.

After a short introduction by the moderator, each presenter has 5 minutes to show or tell how they would or have tackled the issue.

We also invite the engineering team, so they can join if they find a topic interesting.

Topics to get the ball rolling

1. Crafting Design Systems: Share insights and methodologies for building and maintaining design systems and style guides to ensure consistency.
2. Efficient Project Kickoffs: Explore strategies for launching new projects with efficiency by leveraging templates, UI libraries, and valuable design resources. Discuss how these tools can streamline the initial stages of design, ensuring a strong foundation for successful projects.
3. Prototyping Mastery: Discover valuable tips and tricks for mastering popular prototyping tools and techniques to bring your ideas to life.
