· Embrace Change
· Have fun
· Servant leadership
· Positive Team Spirit
· Passionate
I guess not necessarily in that order…for me it changes daily. But they remain our core values @ LPi. Great little set of rules to live by when you think about it.
On Tuesday May 28, in the early a.m. we lost a great friend, leader, boss and it has left a gaping hole in our organization. His name was Steve Lyles, our Vice President of Sales. That was his title given so that responsibilities are understood and executed.
We all knew that and more about Steve. Husband, father and friend … beyond our walls, well let me just say, the universe is going to feel this one.
Today I woke thinking about a recent regional meeting we attended in Orlando. We had a game and we were to guess our company core values.
I was thinking about Steve and how it seemed that he lived those sweet simple core values at work and at home.
And now we must.
We must remain “Passionate” about our work and live out the dream that Steve had for this organization ~ to build a strong company, a team, that would lead us into the next plans, growth and a place of significance in the print and digital publishing business market.
We must move forward and “Embrace Change” and somehow navigate without his “Servant Leadership,” laughter and direction.
We must continue trying and creating an atmosphere where you will find “Positive Team Spirit” second to none.
Finally, but not really last, we must find a way through it all to “Have Fun.”
We must find a way as a team to attempt at filling the hole, the gaping hole that is currently filled with sorrow and loss of the laughter and fun and passion and not afraid of change, a spirit and servant leadership heart that made you feel included, important and significant.
If you are lucky and just ever so blessed you will work for a company that truly feels like family. I personally have adopted this one as mine.
So to my number one fan, if you can read this or hear my heart…thank you for all that you have done for our company and personally for me…you and your team breathed life back into my working, professional heart and soul and for that I am forever grateful.
We don’t mind being in your shadow or beneath your wings…soar and we will try to make you proud.
Love,
Bev
